My favorite financial daily paper is IBD . It's not as high brow as the WSJ and doesn't come on peachy colored paper like FT, but it condenses every story into digestible blurbs and has a bunch of charts and tips for investors. What I like best is their daily "IBD'S 10 SECRETS TO SUCCESS" feature:

1. HOW YOU THINK IS EVERYTHING
2. DECIDE UPON YOUR TRUE DREAMS AND GOALS
3. TAKE ACTION
4. NEVER STOP LEARNING
5. BE PERSISTENT AND WORD HARD
6. LEARN TO ANALYZE DETAILS
7. FOCUS YOUR TIME AND MONEY
8. DON'T BE AFRAID TO INNOVATE; BE DIFFERENT
9. DEAL AND COMMUNICATE WITH PEOPLE EFFECTIVELY
10 BE HONEST AND DEPENDABLE; TAKE RESPONSIBILITY (otherwise, #s 1-9 won't matter)

"... trading is probably the hardest thing you'll ever attempt to be successful at. That's not because it requires intellect; quite the contrary! But because the more you think you know, the less successful you'll be."
- Mark Douglas, Trading In The Zone, p 171
